After moving back to my home state and living in an apartment for over a year, the househunting has finally ended. The station is assembled, the first antenna is up and AE5X is back on the air. Now to have QSLs printed and take care of my delinquency in that area.....

The antenna is an 80m dipole about 75 feet up in these tall East Texas pines. Fed with ladder line, it easily tunes all bands 6-80 meters and has already proved its worth most righteously by snagging mucho Pacific-area DX on both 40 and 80 meters this past weekend. CW, of course.

I have plans to grow the antenna farm over the summer with the goal being to have a stronger low-angle signal on 80 meters, my favorite DX band. One such antenna worked very well for me in New York and I plan to make use of another one here, which I will detail once construction is completed.
