After working S01WS on 40m a few minutes ago I took a look at the station’s website and found many amazing photos.
The one above is my favorite because it symbolizes an aspect of ham radio that strikes a chord in me – that of radio’s ability to connect a remote outpost with the rest of the world. What else can one think when seeing this building in the middle of the desert adorned with a triband Yagi?!
For those who need Western Sahara, they’ve been putting a healthy signal into the states the past two local evenings with surprisingly small pile-ups. And they seem to be making many contacts with EU on 60m SSB.
