Here’s one for you SOTA-types!

Who will be the first to haul an ATS, KX1 or other QRP rig up here?!

Sent to me by Jim W1PID regarding our recent interest in personal quadcopter-camera combos, I couldn’t help but think of some madman up here tapping out dots & dashes to the waiting masses.

Watch it full-screen for the full effect:

Hi John. I’ve seen the whole video and came to the conclusion that SOTA is nothing for me ;-) I’ve got a problem with heights. Wish someone that activates this one good luck! Nice video though. 73, Bas

Same here, Bas – even if a helicopter offered to put me there, I’d have to decline the offer.

Well John that sure was a nice video and with the quadcopter-camera that sure did make the viewer understand the full effect of the climb! To bring a rig up there would be great as well.

I’d like to know how tall that peak is. The GoPro camera has a wide-angle lens so it appears taller than it actually is – still it would make a fine “natural tower” for whatever antenna someone might haul up.
