TX5K – #300

By , March 2, 2013

tx5kAs I write, TX5K is working a surprisingly small pile-up on 30 meter CW. The pile-up is well behaved, everyone is calling him up and there are no cops. None. Surely that can’t last.

But as a result he’s logging one contact after another including yours truly for my 300th DXCC entity. That had been a goal for a long time – I guess I can kick back and retire from DXing now.

Yeah, right.

Being on 30 meters, TX5K was also a new “dipole country” for me – my 298th.

Thanks guys:

A late announcement last night brought good news to many DXers – a large-scale DXpedition is gearing up to activate Wake Island in October.
