It was great to work blogger Dom M1KTA who is currently operating QRP from American Samoa.
I’d read of his operation on various DX sites and seemed to recall that he would be QRP but he sounded anything but QRP.
Sure enough, as he confirmed on the air with me, his KX3 is sending his 5-watt signal across the Pacific no problemo. Antenna was a vertical dipole, seaside.
Some rapid & deep QSB but perfectly copiable.
Just before me, Dom worked a W3 as I set up the laptop’s mic to record our subsequent QSO on 15 meters. Rig here was K3 with APF activated.
