A nice surprise arrived in the mail today. I had no idea…

This years’ CQ-WPX (CW) is May 26-27 and is a great contest for other US ops with a 2X1 callsign since your prefix probably isn’t shared by many. It’s nice to experience pile-ups and be “rare” without having to travel anywhere.

And speaking of traveling, I just worked Guy N7UN who is currently VP2MUN in Montserrat. He and the group have two KX3′s with them – not sure if that’s the rig he was using for our brief QSO but he had a FB signal.

   Congratulations! #9 US is not too shabby either. The WPX is a great contest, maybe I’ll get you on 5 bands. That would be fun, because it implies good conditions.
