Information About Common QRP Rigs
Part of the fun of QRP - maybe the biggest
enjoyment of all - is seeing how much performance can be squeezed
out of a tiny radio. The tinier, the better. Others share this
fascination, so I know I'm not alone in that particular affliction.
These links represent not only the results
of my own experience in operating and tinkering with various
QRP rigs, but also from those of other QRPers who were kind
enough to share their experiences.
Note that there are seperate pages for
Steve Weber's AT Sprint 3 and for Elecraft's KX-1. Although
I have a variety of other rigs (as do most QRPers!), it is these
two that get the most air time for 2 reasons: they are multi-banders
and they have built-in tuners. These features greatly increase
the "portability factor" over the older monoband kits.
